I was surprised by how many people found it easy to do!
Remember, LinkedIn is your digital resume.
If you want to attract high-paying tech gigs, your profile must be well-optimized.
But that’s just the beginning.
Today, I’ll show you two ways to land a job on LinkedIn:
1. Inbound Method (Clients Come to You)
This happens when recruiters or clients reach out to you because they see your skills and believe you can solve their problems.
To make this work:
✅ Optimize your profile (as we discussed yesterday)
✅ Post consistently about your expertise—share insights, case studies, and problem-solving approaches
✅ Engage with industry discussions to increase visibility
It may take time, but the more you post, the more LinkedIn’s algorithm boosts your profile.
2. Outbound Method (You Reach Out)
This is the fastest way to land a job, and I highly recommend it. There are two approaches:
A. Networking Approach
Ever heard the phrase "Your network is your net worth"?
LinkedIn is a professional network, meaning your chances of getting hired increase when you connect with the right people—recruiters, hiring managers, and colleagues in your field.
How do you do this?
🔹 Search for professionals in your field
🔹 Send them a personalized connection request like this:
"Hi [First Name], I came across your profile and noticed we’re in the same industry. I’d love to connect!"
Once connected, build a genuine relationship.
Over time, you can ask if they know of any job openings.
Don’t fake it—just be real.
B. LinkedIn Job Search Approach
This is where you actively search and apply for jobs.
Here’s how:
1️⃣ Go to LinkedIn’s Job Search
2️⃣ Use the filter to search by job title (e.g., “Scrum Master”) and location
3️⃣ If you want remote jobs, add “Remote” to your filters
4️⃣ Check the job descriptions and apply
5️⃣ Go to the company’s LinkedIn page → Find the recruiters → Send a message expressing your interest in the role (attach your resume)
That’s it! This is the best way to land high-paying jobs on LinkedIn.
