Put yourself out differently

As a tech expert, there’s one thing you might be overlooking that could change the game for your career.

No, I’m not saying it’s the only way to land jobs.

But trust me…

It’s a powerful system that works, especially in today’s world.

We’re deep into the creator economy, and it’s only growing.

In fact, it's expected to double or even triple in the coming years.

So what should you do?

Position yourself.

Be visible.

Be searchable.

Be the solution people are looking for.

Now, I’m not telling you to become a full-time content creator (unless that’s your thing).

What I am saying is, build your digital footprint.

That means sharing content that shows you know your stuff, especially in cybersecurity.

Whether it's LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok, start posting where your ideal industry hangs out.

This is called inbound positioning… attracting opportunities by being seen as someone who solves real problems.

Here’s how to start:

• Pick one or two platforms (LinkedIn is a must!)
  
  
• Share content around cybersecurity
  
  
• Talk about industry problems and how to fix them
  
  
• Share lessons from your experience (without naming companies or giving too many details)
  
  
• Talk about mistakes you’ve made and how you solved them
  
  
• Mix in a bit of your personal life and lessons, too
  
  

Text, pictures, videos (long form or short form).

Just create content that proves you know your stuff.

Over time, people will start seeing you as an authority.

Opportunities won’t always come instantly, but if you stay consistent…

The results will come.

This isn’t about monetizing content.

It’s about positioning yourself to get more and better job opportunities.
